IO-Link Smart Sensor Profile Ed. 2 (BML SL1-ALZ1-UE/MZZ-_U1L-...) (continued)
2nd example:
Teach Two Point/Window Mode (SP1 and SP2)
Setpoints SP1 and SP2 are applied first saved to non-
volatile memory at the current location using the system
commands SP1/SP2 Single Value Teach. System
command Teach Apply checks the setpoints and saves
them to non-volatile memory.
1. Use Select Teach Channel (Index 0x003A) to select
which switching channel to teach.
2. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = IDLE
3. Move the sensor head to the position of SP1.
4. Carry out system command SP1 Single Value Teach
(Code 0x41).
⇒ SP1 is taught.
5. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = WAIT FOR COMMAND
⇒ Teach Points = SP1 TP1/TP2
6. Move the sensor head to the position of SP2.
7. Carry out system command SP2 Single Value Teach
(Code 0x42).
⇒ SP2 is taught.
8. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = WAIT FOR COMMAND
⇒ Teach Points = SP1 TP1/TP2, SP2 TP1/TP2
9. Carry out system command Teach Apply (Code 0x40).
⇒ The setpoints were stored in non-volatile memory.
10. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = SP12 SUCCESS (SUCCESS indicates a
successful teach-in. Otherwise ERROR is shown.)

3rd example:
Teach Single Point Mode (SP1) with teachpoints TP1/
TP2
Setpoint SP1 is determined from the average of TP1 and
TP2.
1. Use Select Teach Channel (Index 0x003A) to select
which switching channel to teach.
2. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = IDLE
3. Move the sensor head to the position of TP1.
4. Carry out system command Two Value Teach TP1
(Code 0x43).
⇒ SP1 TP1 is taught.
5. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = WAIT FOR COMMAND
⇒ Teach Points = SP1 TP1
6. Move the sensor head to the position of TP2.
7. Carry out system command SP1 Two Value Teach TP2
(Code 0x44).
⇒ SP1 TP2 is taught.
8. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = WAIT FOR COMMAND
⇒ Teach Points = SP1 TP1/TP2
9. Carry out system command Teach Apply (Code 0x40).
⇒ The command calculates SP1 and saves SP1 to
non-volatile memory.
10. Checking the status.
⇒ Status = SP1 SUCCESS (SUCCESS indicates a
successful teach-in. Otherwise ERROR is shown.)
