▪ Take the machine by the handle (5) while holding the
supply cord with the PRCD (10).
▪ Make sure the core bit does not contact any object.
▪ Plug the machine to a grounded socket.
▪ Press the ON-I-RESET button. The PRCD LED indi-
cator shall start to glow.
▪ Switch the machine on by pressing the ON/OFF
switch (1). The machine shall start to operate.
▪ Press the O-Test button. The PRCD shall switch off,
the LED indicator will stop glowing and the machine
will stop.
▪ Release the ON/OFF switch (1) to switch off the ma-
chine before you attempt to start the machine again.
WARNING: Always test the PRCD is
properly functioning before you start operation! In
case the PRCD does not function properly do not
start operating the power tool; but contact the nearest
authorised service centre!
WARNING: Never use a PRCD as a switch.
Always switch the PRCD when the power tool is not
under load.
SWITCHING ON / SWITCHING OFF
▪ Switching on: Press ON/OFF switch (1).
▪ Switching off: Release ON/OFF switch (1).
WARNING: Before you insert the plug into
the outlet, always make sure the switch (1) can be
actuated and after being released - returns to the off
position.
WARNING: When drilling without a drill stand
never lock the ON/OFF switch by the lock-on button
(2). There is a danger of injury!
Continuous use (when drilling with a drill stand
only):
▪ Switching on: Press ON/OFF switch (1) and in pressed
position lock it by button (2),
▪ Switching off: Press ON/OFF switch (1) once and re-
lease it immediately.
SPEED SELECTOR SWITCH
1. Make sure the machine is unplugged. To select
appropriate speed rotate the spindle (4) slowly while
turning the speed selector switch (6) to the chosen
position.
2. Do not change gears when the machine is operating.
Failure to follow this instruction could result in
damage to the machine.
3. Appropriate speed depends on the processed
material. Lower speed should be used for harder
materials, higher speed should be used for softer
materials.
Original instructions
SAFETY CLUTCH
The machine is equipped with safety clutch. The
spindle halts or barely rotates upon reaching the torque,
actuating the clutch.
WARNING: The reactive torque upon
actuating the protective clutch provokes considerable
strain on the operator's hands.
The reactive torque is overcome mainly by the auxiliary
handle. The strain on the operator's hand holding the
auxiliary handle is considerable and amounts to 250 N
(25 kg). Therefore the grip on the auxiliary and the back
handle should be firm.
To achieve extended durability and reliability of the
protective clutch, decrease the load after clutch
actuation. Upon this event the clutch will return to its
normal position and the operator can resume work.
AUXILIARY HANDLE
WARNING: Manual drilling must be obligatory
carried out with assembled auxiliary handle (7). Loss
of control may cause personal injury.
Tighten the auxiliary handle (7) into the its threaded
socket on the machine journal.
MOUNTING THE DIAMOND CORE BIT
1. Unplug the machine.
2. For diamond core bits with G 1/2" thread, screw
adapter (9) into the spindle (4). Screw the diamond
core bit onto adapter (9).
3. For diamond core bits with 1¼" UNC thread, screw
the diamond core bit directly onto the spindle (4).
REMOVING THE CORE BIT
1. Unplug the machine.
2. To remove the diamond core bit and the adapter
use the spanners delivered with the machine.
Using spanner 32 lock the spindle (4) and unscrew
the diamond core bit and adapter with another
appropriate spanner.
INSERTING / REMOVING THE PILOT DRILL BIT
(FIG. 1)
A pilot drill bit is used when exact positioning of the drilled
opening is necessary. Place the pilot bit into the conical
opening of the adapter.
Screw the core bit onto the adapter.
Use a drift key to remove the pilot bit. Place the drift key
into the adapter opening and knock it out gently.
DRY DRILLING WITHOUT A DRILL STAND
Dry drilling is an efficient method for drilling soft
construction materials, such as facade bricks, soft
concrete blocks, lightweight construction breeze blocks
and soft stone (excluding lime).
