Operator
5.1
Teaching in the operator
During the learning runs (section 4.1) door-specific data such
as travel and forces needed during the opening and closing
runs are taught in and saved in a power failure-proof manner.
The data is only valid for this door.
NOTE:
If connected, the photocell is not active during the teach-in
process.
WARNING
Danger of injuries due to faulty safety equipment
If safety devices do not function properly, malfunctions may
cause injuries.
After the learning runs, the person commissioning the
system must check the function(s) of the safety
equipment.
The system is ready for operation only after this.
5.2
DIL switch functions
The operator functions can be set via DIL switches. Before
initial start-up, all DIL switches are set to OFF (factory setting),
see Figure 11.
Changes to the DIL switch settings are only permissible:
if the operator is at rest,
if no radio code is taught in.
Set the DIL switches:
according to the applicable national regulations,
the desired safety equipment,
the local conditions.
5.2.1
DIL switch A: activate 2-wire photocell
See Figure 14
If the light path is interrupted during closure, the operator will
stop immediately and, after a short pause, reverse until it
reaches the Open end-of-travel position.
ON
2-wire photocell
No safety equipment
OFF
(delivery condition)

Hand transmitters
Danger of injury due to unwanted door
travel
Persons may be injured by door travel
if the hand transmitter is actuated.
Make sure that the hand
transmitters are kept away from
children and can only be used by
people who have been instructed
on how the remote-control door
functions!
If the door has only one safety
feature, only operate the hand
transmitter if you are within sight of
the door!
Only drive or pass through remote-
control door systems when the door
is at a standstill!
Never stand in the opening of the
door system.
Please note that unwanted door
travel may occur if a hand
transmitter button is accidentally
pressed (e.g. if stored in a pocket /
handbag).
Danger of injuries due to unintended door travel
Unintended door travel may occur while teaching in the
radio code.
Pay attention that no persons or objects are in the
door's area of travel when teaching in the radio system.
ATTENTION
Functional impairment caused by environmental
conditions
High temperatures, water and dirt impair the function of the
hand transmitter.
Protect the hand transmitter from the following conditions:
Direct sunlight (permissible ambient temperature:
–20°C to +60°C)
Moisture
Dust
NOTES:
If there is no separate garage entrance:
perform all teach-in processes, program changes
and extensions while standing in the garage.
Teaching in, changing or expansion of the radio system
is only possible when the operator is at a standstill.
Perform a function check.
Use original parts only.
