Improper clamping can result in accidents
The clamping unit should be attached securely

to the base and should not move.
The indicator on the vacuum gauge [1-3] must

remain within the green sector at all times. As
soon as the indicator enters the red sector, stop
work immediately and rectify the cause of the
fault (see Chapter Troubleshooting).
Check the rubber cups on the suction plate and

the rubber seal on the base before using the ma-
chine. Never work with a damaged suction plate
or rubber seal.
Always hold the workpiece with both hands be-

fore actuating the foot valve.Make sure that the
workpiece cannot fall or tip after the foot valve is
actuated
Clamp workpieces so that the centre of gravity is

positioned over the suction plate. The workpiece
must protrude at least 3/8 in over the edge of the
suction plate on all sides.
Do not push or pull on the clamped workpiece

with excessive force. There is a risk that the
workpiece will come loose from the suction
plate.
WARNING
To prevent accidents, always remove the plug
from the power supply socket before carrying out
any changes or maintenance work on the tool!
Do not use compressed air to clean the electrical

tool! Do not try to clean parts inside the tool in
this way, as you could let foreign objects in
through the openings of the tool housing.
Inspect general cleanness of the suction plate.

Clean the sealing lip on the suction plate with a

cotton cloth soaked in white spirit so that no
marks are left behind when the workpiece is
clamped.
Place workpiece upon suction plate.

The workpiece triggers the button valve [9-1] .
The suction power then tightly secures the
workpiece.
Wait until the indicator on the vacuum gauge [1-

2] is within the green sector.
Check whether the workpiece is retained se-

curely.
Perform work as required.

Remove the workpiece
To release the workpiece, hold with both hands

and actuate the foot valve [2-5].
Remove the workpiece.

After using the pump, switch off at the on/off

switch [1-4] and remove the plug from the pow-
er socket.
Prepare for storage
Switch off vacuum pump

Disconnect mains cable and wrap around cable

spool [1-1].
Disconnect hose and wind up lightly.

Store device in horizontal position.


To ensure constant air circulation, always keep the
ventilation openings on the pump clean and free of
obstruction. Clean the protective grille with a dust
extractor. If damaged, have the protective grill re-
placed by an authorised service workshop.
