Warning Symbols

Meanings of warning symbols on the pole pruner and
battery:
Observe safety notices and take the necessary
precautions.
Read, understand and save the instruction
manual.
Wear safety glasses and a hard hat.
Wear safety boots.
Wear work gloves.
Maintain safe distance.

Always remove the battery during work breaks,
transport, storage, maintenance or repairs.
Protect battery from heat and fire.
Do not immerse battery in fluids.
Observe battery's permissible temperature
range.

Intended Use

The STIHL HTA 65 and HTA 85 pole pruners are designed
for limbing and pruning the branches of tall trees.
The pole pruner must not be used for felling operations.
The pole pruner may be used in the rain.
The pole pruner is powered by a STIHL AP battery or a
STIHL AR battery.
