Theyareavailableinvarioussizesandcanincludeafootrestassembly.
Attachmenttotheseatadaptersandthefunctionandoperationofthefootrestassemblyare
identicaltothoseoftheseatingunit;pleaserefertosectionKimba Multifunctional Seating Unit.
5.4 Accessories
CAUTION
Allaccessoriesnotinstalledbythemanufacturermustbeinstalledbytrainedtechnicians.Thefollowing
notesoninstallationarelistedherefortechnicianuse.
• Strapsonaccessoriesareusuallyextralongtoaccommodatemostpositions.
• Excessstrapendscanbecutoff,andthecutedgemeltedtogetherwithaflame(cigarette
lighter)inordertopreventfraying.
5.4.1 Roll Loops
Toofferbetterstrappositioninginthepelvicarea,theKimbaseatingunitisdeliveredwithtwo
rollloops.Dependingonindividualrequirementsyoucanmounttheserollloopsoneitherside
inthreedifferentpositions(Fig.50).
5.4.2 Abductor
Placetheabductor(Fig.51)inthedesiredposition,andaffixitwithscrewsfrombelow.
Whenusingaslipsack,alsocutaslitattheappropriatelocation.
Modelswithdepthadjustmentcanbeadjustedintheslottedhole.
5.4.3 Armrests (no illustr.)
CAUTION
Thearmrestsmustnotbeusedforliftingtheseatingunitortherehabstroller/buggy.Armrestscannot
becombinedwitha"Grabrail"ora"Tray".
Snapthearmrestsintotheretainers(Fig.44)ontheseatingunitwhilesimultaneouslypressing
thespringknobs.Toremovethearmrests,pressthespringknobsandpullthearmrestsupwards
offtheretainers.
