rear.Threadbothstrapendsthroughtheopencam-lockbuckles(similartoFig.53),andclamp
inpositionbyclosingthehingedcam.(Thisistosettheshoulderstraplength.)

plasticendsoftheshoulderstrapsandinsertthemetaltabofthelapbeltandputonthebelt
bucklesothatthemetaltablocksinplace.

Drillholesfrombelowthroughthemoreposteriorsectionofthefootplateatthedesiredpositions.
Attachthefootstrapswiththetwoscrewspositionedbesideoneanothertothefootplateand
tightenwithknurlednutsbelowthefootplate.Shouldstrapsbenecessaryalsoovertheforefoot,
fitthemthesameway(Fig.62).

5.4.10 Grab Rail and Grab Rail Padding

Firstinsertthelongerpartofthegrabrail(Fig.63)intotheseatfixture.Makesurethatthespring
knobspointtowardsthefront.Theninserttheshorterendintothesecondfixturewhilepressing
thespringknob.
Openthegrabrailbybothpressingthespringknobandpullingtherailuptoremoveit.
Threadgrabrailpaddingontothegrabrail.

5.4.11 Headrests

Head supports:
Attachthepairofheadsupports(Fig.64,itemC)tothebackinsertwithcarriageboltsandknurled
nuts.Thebackpaddingalreadyfeaturesfourhollowrivets(Fig.65,itemA)forthispurpose.To
makeinstallationandadjustmentseasier,firstopenthezipperatthetopofthebackpadding.
Theheadsupportscrewsreplacetheshortcarriagescrewsthatconnectthebackframetube
tothebackplate.
Oncetheknurlednutshavebeenloosened,thesupportscanbemovedintheirslottedholesto
increaseordecreasetheamountofheadroom.Tovarytheheightoftheheadrest,adjustthe
backinsert (see Kimba Multifunctional Seating Unit).
Back insert with integrated headrest:
TheKimbamultifunctionalseatingunitcanalsobeequippedwithabackinsertwithintegrated
headrest(Fig.66).
Theprocedureforheightadjustmentisidenticaltothatoftheheadrestversiondescribedabove.
Thefreespacefortheheadcanbevariedinincrementsof1cm(upto3cmoneachside)by
slidingthesuppliedhardfoampadsunderthesidepaddingsections.
