3 Unpacking and Setting up
NOTICE
Damage caused by objects lying upon the appliance. Ifappliancesaretransportedinthefolded
state,theweightofobjectslyingupontheappliancecancausedeformationsandresultinproblems
whenunfoldingtheappliance.Neverputheavyobjectsonafoldedrehabilitationdevice.
Intheoriginalpackageyouwillfindthefollowingcomponents:
• Frame,folded
• Tworearwheelswithquick-releaseaxle
• Onefrontwheelwithquick-releaselockandmountedsplashguard
• Kimbaseatingunit(ifincludedintheorder)
• InstructionsforUseandAllenwrench,size4
• Accessoriesasordered
To unfold the frame please proceed as follows:
• Carefullyremovethetransportsafetysnapsandpackagingmaterial.
• Next,removethelockingpinfromtheframelugs(Fig.1).
• Foldupthepushbar(Fig.2)andpositionthebackbracebetweenthetwolugs.Theback
bracehasthreeboreholeswhichletyousetthepushbaratdifferentangles.Selectthe
appropriatebackbraceholeforyourdesiredpushbarangle(Fig.3).Putthelockingpin
throughtheselectedholeinthebackbraceandthroughthelugsandthensecurewiththe
clip(Fig.4).Formountingtherearwheelstotheframe,insertthequick-releaseaxlesintothe
rearwheelsandpressthequick-releaseaxlewiththewheelintotheaxlehousing(Fig.5).
Makesurethattheaxleshavecorrectlylockedinplace!

• Mountingthefrontwheel:Formountingthestandard,rigid-mountfrontwheelwithpre-assem-
bledsplashguard,pleaseproceedasfollows:Insertthefrontwheelwithsplashguardinto
theforkandpushittotherearandup(Fig.6).Closetheeccentricleverofthequick-release
axle.Makesuretherecessinthebackofthesplashguardengagesthecrossbraceofthe
frontframe(Fig.7).
Makesuretheaxleisproperlyengagedandhasenoughclampingpressure!

• TofoldtheKimbaCrosstogether,pleasereversethedirectionsmentionedabove.
