2. Safety Instructions
Before using the PPE breathing protection equipment, every user is
obliged to check the capacity of the air supply system, possibly also in
terms of the impact on other users of the system.
The code "H" indicates that the compressed air feed tube is heat-resist-
ant. The code "S" indicates that the compressed air feed tube is antistatic.
Before operation, the user must proceed with a risk assessment regarding
possible harmful components in the workplace, e.g. nitrogen.
■ The breathing protection hood is not a head protection in accordance
with AS/NZS 1801.
■ Do not use in confined spaces, oxygen-poor environment (<19.5%),
with oxygen-enriched environment (> 23%) or in places where there is
an immediate danger to life and health.
■ Do not use the breathing protection hood in a surrounding atmosphere
with a 100-fold MAK-value.
■ Store the unused breathing protection hood in a clean, dry location.
■ Do not store the breathing protection hood together with protective
suits.
■ Only use the breathing protection hood with correctly mounted visor foil.
■ In case of a very high work load, a negative pressure can be generated
within the devices with a maximum inhalation frequency.
■ Do not dismantle the breathing protection hood.
■ Replace/do not use defective breathing protection hoods.
■ Send defective breathing protection hoods to SATA for repairs.
■ Do not make changes to the breathing protection hood.
