Determining the hardness of the water
Before using for the first time or after a change in the hardness of the water, it
is necessary to adjust the appliance to the appropriate degree of hardness.
You can either find out the water hardness by asking the local water authority
or you can determine it by using the test piece in stick form supplied with the
appliance.
Immerse the test stick in cold water for one second. Shake off the surplus
water and determine the hardness by observing the pink-coloured area.
