You can use the parking aid on the back of the vacuum
cleaner if you wish to stop vacuuming for a short time.
Slide the plastic lug on the tool connector into the
groove at the back of the vacuum cleaner.

When the work is done

13
Figure
Switch the vacuum cleaner off and unplug the power
cord from the mains.
Tug the power cord and let go. The cable then rewinds
automatically.
To reactivate or deactivate the cable brake, quickly tug
the power cord.
14
Figure
Unlock the telescopic tube by pushing the adjusting
sleeve in the direction of the arrow and slide one tube
into the other.
15
Figure
To store or transport the vacuum cleaner, use the storage
aid on the underside of the vacuum cleaner. Stand the
vacuum cleaner up on its end. Slide the plastic lug on the
floor tool into the groove on the underside of the unit.
You have purchased a floor vacuum cleaner which can
vacuum up any type of dry dirt and uses a dust container
and a MEGAfilt
SuperTEX dust bag.
®
We recommend that you use:
– the dust container, in particular for your hobbies, e.g. to
remove wood shavings, etc.
– the MEGAfilt
SuperTEX dust bag mainly for everyday
®
household cleaning.
Using the dust container
16
Figure
Set the power setting to maximum for the best results
when vacuuming.
We recommend that you reduce the setting only when
vacuuming very delicate materials.
Emptying the dust container
17
Figure
The dust container should be emptied every time the
vacuum cleaner is used.
It must be emptied, however, as soon as the dust bag
change indicator constantly lights up bright red when the
nozzle is lifted from the floor and the setting is at its
highest.
18
Figure
Turn the dust compartment locking lever in the direction
of the arrow to open the dust bag compartment lid.
19
Figure
Grip the dust container by the carrying handle and
remove it.
20
Figure
Open the base and empty the dust container by press-
ing the lid lock in the direction of the arrow.
If the base is very dirty (thick dirt), clean this first, e.g. by
vacuuming it with the crevice nozzle.
(You must fit the dust bag in the vacuum cleaner
when you do this - see Figure 29)
Close the base.
21
Figure
Refit the dust container into the vacuum cleaner, position
the carrying handle at the side and close the dust bag
compartment lid.
Caution: the inside of the dust container may
!
become scratched with use and start to look opaque.
This does not, however, affect the performance of
the vacuum cleaner in any way, i.e. it will continue to
function as normal.
Cleaning the permanent filters and microfilters
The filters must be cleaned:
If the vacuum cleaner is used until the dust bag change
indicator lights up.
After any operating malfunctions, i.e. after a blockage is
cleared.
At least every six months.
22
Figure
Unlock the filter holder by pressing the two lugs in the
direction of the arrow and open it.
23
Figure
Remove the microfilters and permanent filters and tap
them clean.
Caution: the washable white fleece filter should be
!
handwashed every six months or after every time the
dust container becomes completely full, and should
only be put back after drying for about 24 hours.
