FILTER ATTACHMENT
Bayonet-type filter: Align the filter's cutouts with the lugs on the facepiece connector. Attach and
adjust the filter by turning it clockwise slightly (approximately 30 grades) until tight.
Thread-type filter: Align the lugs on the attachment base of the adapter to the support cutouts of the
filter by turning it clockwise (approximately 30 grades) till tight. After this assembly, place the latch,
making sure the support is totally secure and assuring that the seal with the gaskets is perfect.
Assemble the chemical filter or combination filter until you realize the inner gasket is pressed.
Mechanical filters with class 1 chemical cartridges (bayonet-type or thread fitting) Position the
mechanical filters (bayonet or thread) over the chemical cartridge (bayonet or thread) matching their
outer match-mark and then attach the O-ring (oval or round) in a way as to keep them jointly fixed.
Make sure the O-ring is properly fit by pressing them over the filter along its total area.

DONNING THE RESPIRATOR

Loosen all the straps by pulling the tab back on the latch with your finger.

Pull the neck strap over your head and place it around your neck. The neck strap must lay flat
against your neck, not twisted.

Place the top portion of the facepiece on the bridge of your nose and swing the bottom of the
facepiece inward. The facepiece should fit comfortably around you nose, mouth and chin.

Pull the cradle headband over your head, adjusting it over your head, above the nape.

Pull the ends of the cradle headband straps to tighten the cradle around the crown of your head.

Pull the ends of the neck strap to tighten the neck strap around your neck.
w.
Adjust the cradle headband for a comfortable and secure fit. The straps should be just snug
enough so that no air leaks around the facepiece. The straps should not be pulled so tight that
the respirator digs into your face. Be careful not to over-tighten.

If the respirator is so tight, unlock the strap by pulling back on the tab on latch. Then pull to the
desired comfort.
