Storage

For periods of more than approx. three
months:
: Drain and clean the fuel tank in a
well ventilated area
: Dispose of fuel properly in
accordance with local
environmental requirements.
: Run the carburetor until empty,
otherwise the diaphragms in the
carburetor may stick together
: Thoroughly clean the unit,
especially the cylinder fins and air
filter
: Remove, clean and inspect the tool
: The unit must be stored in a safe,
dry place where it is protected
against unauthorized use (e.g. by
children)

The unit can be folded up and hung
from a hook by its support.

Fuel pickup body in tank
: Have the pickup body in the fuel
tank replaced every year.
Spark arresting screen in the
muffler*
: If the engine is low on power, have
the spark arresting screen in the
muffler checked
