– It is recommended to continue pumping until the maximum pressure valve is activated
and a "click" is heard.
– The motor will continue to operate after the maximum pressure relief valve has activated.
No further crimping force is applied, the oil is bypassed and returned to the reservoir.
2.4) Head rotation
For ease of operation, the tool head can rotate through 180°, allowing the operator to work
in the most comfortable position.
Warning: Do not attempt to rotate the head when the hydraulic circuit is pressurised.
2.5) Release of dies
By pressing the pressure release lever (201), the ram will retract and open the dies.
2.6) Die replacement
(Ref. to Fig. 2)
To replace dies proceed as follows:
– Upper die (91)
Take the die off its guide by pushing the die/head release pin (49).
Insert replacement die until secured by the die retaining pin (50).
– Lower die (90)
Take the die off its guide by pushing the die/ram release pin (88).
Insert replacement die until secured by the die/ram retaining pin (85).
To facilitate this operation an advancement of the ram (206) by 8-10 mm (0.3 - 0.4 in.) is
suggested.
2.7) Battery status
After releasing the operating button, the residual battery
capacity is automatically displayed for 5 seconds on the
indicator (04).
The number of LEDs illuminated indicates the residual
capacity:
10 LEDs illuminated: fully charged
5 LEDs illuminated: 50 % capacity
1 LED illuminated: minimum charge
When replacing the battery, press the two points marked with the word "PUSH" at the
same time, remove the fl at battery from its housing and insert the new one.
3. WARNING
Before starting work on electrical equipment, please ensure that either there are no live
parts in the immediate working area or that precautions are taken for working near live
parts in accordance with EN50110-1.
