Assembling the soldering stand (fig. A/B)
• Fit the soldering iron holder (15) to the soldering stand (1) before you use the soldering
iron for the first time. Start by inserting the soldering iron holder's (15) locating pin into the
the slot provided in the stand's housing.
• After sliding the soldering iron holder (15) as far as it will go into the slot (1), turn it
clockwise to fix it in place.
Cleaning sponge and adjustable workpiece holders
• For convenience the cleaning sponge (2) can be placed in the space provided on the
soldering stand (1). Moisten the soldering sponge (2) slightly before use.
• The soldering stand (1) is equipped with two adjustable workpiece holding clamps (3),
which are useful when working an wires and similar workpieces.
Fitting and replacing soldering and burning tips (fig. C)

CAUTION - DANGER OF BURNS! Ensure that the
soldering iron is disconnected from the mains and allow it to cool
down completely before changing the tip.
Select a suitable tip for your application.
• The pointed soldering tip is particularly suitable for point soldering and thin cables.
• The flat soldering tip is particularly suitable for light electrical work.
• The wood burning tips are suitable for a wide range of wood burning jobs.
The tip holder (8) and the tips (9-14) are threaded. This ensures quick and easy fitting and
replacement of the tips.
• Screw the required tip (9-14) in to the tip holder as far as it will go and tighten it by hand.
