2.6 Limits to use
2.6.1 General
•
Do not use machine at temperatures below 1°C and above 45°C.
•
Water temperature must not exceed 50°C.
•
In the interests of safety, always adapt speed to user (floor condition, environment, contamination, etc)!
•
Suction or disposal of hazardous dust and inflammable material is prohibited.
•
Cleaning floors near highly inflammable or explosive substances is prohibited.
•
If battery voltage drops below 17 V, machine is switched off automatically and is stationary.
•
Using the machine in environments where chlorine is present, such as swimming pools, will reduce the service life of the machine con-
siderably, and is not recommended.
•
After sudden change from a cold to a warm environment, allow machine to acclimatise before use. Thawing can result in faulty opera-
tion, and should be avoided.
2.6.2 Cleaning agents
•
To achieve optimum cleaning and service life of the machine we recommend using Wetrok chemical products. No guarantee or liability
will be accepted for damage or consequential damage resulting from the use of other products.
•
When using cleaning and care agents, note hazard warnings by manufacturer; wear protective goggles, gloves and clothing if neces-
sary.
•
The use of foaming, highly inflammable, combustible, health-threatening, corrosive or irritant substances is prohibited.
•
Use only water and cleaning agents suitable for the machine.
•
Do not use any aggressive or inflammable cleaning agents for cleaning the machine!
2.6.3 Limiting values
•
Do not exceed gradients of 2% for work and 8% for transport or when machine is stationary. After finishing work, secure machine against
inadvertent travel by switching off and removing the key from the key lock.
•
Air humidity during operation must be between 30-95%.
•
Noise emission is below 74 dB A
2.7 Drive stop
The machine is equipped with a red drive-stop switch.
The machine can be halted as follows if obstacles are suddenly present:
•
Release the drive lever
•
or press red drive-stop switch
•
or switch off key switch or pull emergency-stop plug
When reversing: in an emergency the drive-stop switch will press against the front abdomen of the operative: machine switches automati-
cally to forward drive and stops.
2.8 Maintenance, safety, service
Wetrok products are safety-tested at the factory.
To ensure their operational safety and to maintain their value, a service must be carried out once every twelve months or after 400 hours of
operation.
Servicing may be done only by a Wetrok service department or by approved specialists.
General:
•
To clean and service the machine, change accessories and spares or to change to a different function: switch off drive, remove key from
key switch and isolate emergency-stop plug.
•
Do not clean machine with high-pressure or steam-pressure cleaners or liquid spray.
•
To ensure trouble-free running, the fresh water tank should be cleaned regularly with Wetrok Ketovapor CIP3 (5%). The time taken for
Wetrok Ketovapor CIP3 to act depends on the amount of contamination in the tank.
Batteries:
•
Batteries contain corrosive sulphuric acid. Not to be taken internally, corrosive! Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Observe manufactur-
er's instructions without fail!
•
Charging wet-cell batteries produces electrolytic gas. There is the risk of serious injury! Keep battery compartment open, empty tank
beforehand and open out! Keep area well ventilated during charging.
•
Maintenance-free and wet cell batteries may be charged using only a suitable charger.
•
Never have naked flames or incandescent object near the batteries. Avoid sparks near batteries!
•
Strictly no smoking.
•
Do not open maintenance-free batteries. Do not top up with distilled water.
•
Do not touch battery terminals.
•
Battery terminals are heavily insulated to prevent shorting by metallic bridging (e.g. spanners). Do not remove insulation.
•
Laying conductive objects on the batteries (e.g. spanners) is prohibited.
•
Do not clean machine with high-pressure or steam-pressure cleaners or liquid spray.
•
Damaged electric cables may be replaced only by specialists.
Accessories and spares
•
Use only Wetrok spares, accessories and components.
