backguard
There are 2 different backguards that are installed in a different way depending on the
model of your range. "Option 1" has 4 perforations in the rear bottom flange and "Op-
tion 2" has 4 or 2 perforations (depending also on the model) on the front face.
Option 1
1. Place the backguard over the rear por-
tion of the cooktop, and make sure per-
forations on both parts match.
2. Fix the backguard using two screws and
2 bolts with nuts. A screw and a bolt
with nut on each side.

1. Shut off main gas supply valve and control knobs.
2. Perform gas hookup. Use any sealer for gas connections.
note: Don't forget to connect a pressure regulator and a
shutoff valve in the general gas installation in order to main-

Option 2
1. Place the backguard behind the cook-
top, making sure the range flue gets
into the "window" on the bottom of
the backguard. Note: Cooktops and
cooktops with cabinet are not equipped
with a flue.
2. Fix the backguard using two screws.
Screws must be driven through the bot-
tom perforations of the backguard and
into the cooktop.
