Taking off the chemical protective suit

WARNING
!
Only take off the chemical protective suit in a non-
contaminated area.
1. Open the fastener system.
Always pull in the direction of the zip. Do not use force.
2. Remove the left arm from the sleeve.
3. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a ventilation
unit:
a. Open the integrated waist belt.
b. Have an assistant disconnect the air supply.
4. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with D-connect:
open the integrated waist belt.
5. If the chemical protective suit is equipped with a crotch
strap: detach the crotch strap from the waist belt of the self-
contained breathing apparatus.
6. Remove the right arm from the sleeve.
7. Bend your knees slightly so that the hood can be taken off
easily.
8. Fold the chemical protective suit away from the wearer in
such a way that no chemicals or cleaning agents can enter
the interior of the suit.
9. Climb out of the safety boots and trouser legs.
10. Take off safety helmet, self-contained breathing apparatus,
full face mask, and cotton gloves.

The specified intervals are recommendations from Dräger. If
required, deviating national guidelines must be observed.
For maintenance work on the full face mask, ventilation unit,
automatic switch valve and compressed air breathing
apparatus, see the relevant instructions for use.

Originally sealed chemical protective suits do not re-
quire inspection for 5 years if they have been stored in
the original packaging or a CPS storage and transpor-
tation bag. After this period or when the seal is broken,
chemical protective suits must be serviced in accord-
ance with specified intervals.
