Shoulder fix
Intended purpose
The medi Shoulder fix is a shoulder
immobilisation support. The product is
exclusively to be used for the orthotic
fitting of the shoulder and only on intact
skin or if any wounds have been properly
covered.
Indications
• Conservative and postoperative
treatment following proximal fractures of
the head of the humerus
• Conservative and postoperative
treatment of fractures of the scapula
• Conservative and postoperative
treatment of AC joint dislocation
• Conservative therapy of painful
osteoarthritis of the shoulder
• Conservative and postoperative
treatment of impingement syndrome
• Conservative and postoperative treatment
of osteoarthritis of the AC joint
• Postoperative treatment after shoulder
replacement
• Conservative treatment after dislocation
of the shoulder
• Conservative treatment of chronic
dislocation of the shoulder
• Conservative and postoperative
treatment of fractures of the distal
humerus
Contraindications
Conservative and post-operative
therapy of posterior shoulder dislocation

Fitting instructions

1. Wrap the wider strap around your
body and fasten it just below the
chest.
2. Fix the injured arm with the strap
around the upper arm. Attach the
lower arm sling to the abdominal
strap. Open the sling and place the
injured arm inside. Close the sling
afterwards.
3. Pass the thin strap over the healthy
shoulder and attach it to the lower arm
sling. Adjust the length of the strap to
the required length.
Care instructions
Velcro fasteners should be closed for
washing. Soap residues, lotions and
ointments can cause skin irritation and
material wear.
• Wash the product by hand, preferably
using a medi clean detergent, or in
delicate cycle at 30°C using a mild
detergent without fabric conditioners.
• Do not bleach.
• Leave to dry naturally.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry clean.
    
Storage instructions
Keep the product in a cool, dry place and
do not expose to direct sunlight.

Disposal
The product can be disposed of in the
domestic waste.
