- Move the disc towards the rim:
a) the horizontal movement is achieved
by hand moving the knob of the upper
shaft;
b) the vertical movement is achieved by
operating on the control valve
- Once the desired distance is reached (a
gap of 2-3 mm should be left between the
edge of the rim and the bead breaker disc),
operate on the control valve
any horizontal movement of the arm.
Simultaneous locking of both arms is achieved operating on this control. The-
refore, the lower arm is ready for bead breaking, and this position will be stored
in the machine memory until control 24 is unlocked.
2) Breaking the upper bead
- Operate the lever
the bead breaker disc (fi g. 26).
A preload compressing the tyre by ap-
proximately 5 mm is recommended.
- Press the upper bead breaker
disc penetration (Fig. 19b)
- Grease the bead to facilitate the bead
breaking process (Fig. 20).
- Press the pedal
