Problems
The shutter cannot be released.
After loading the film and clos-
ing the back, "`" and "R" blink.
After loading the film and closing
the back, the counter re mains
"`" and does not go forward.
The film is wound to do the
first frame while re wind ing.
The film is rewound while tak-
ing pictures.

Possible Causes
Does "l" blink on the LCD?
Does the power turn on?
Does the viewfinder lamp blink?
Do "`" and "R" blink on the LCD?
Did you load the finished film?
Is the film pull out of the cassette
far enough? Is it pulled out to far?
d Did you load the battery after load-
ing the film?
d Did you open the back so as to
take out the film without checking
that the motor has stopped and
that "`" and "R" blink?
d Did you press the n but ton while
the partly used film was load ed?
Solutions
Replace the battery.
Press the POWER button.
The flash is charging. Wait until the viewfinder
lamp stops blinking (the flash takes about 6 sec-
onds to charge).
Open the back and check the film.
d If a finished film is in the camera, take it out and
load a new roll of film.
d If the end of the film has not been pulled to the
FILM TIP mark, adjust the film length so that the film
tip is in the camera correctly, and close the back.

d A picture can not be taken by pressing the shut-
ter button in that condition. Open the back a little
and close back again.
