Extension
Intended purpose
The Fastening Extension for the
Lumbamed sacro is available as an
option, as an additional element. This
product is to be used exclusively in
conjunction with the Lumbamed sacro
and is only intended for use on unbroken
skin. The Fastening Extension is suitable
for use with all available sizes of the
Lumbamed sacro.
Further information on the usage,
instructions on how to wear it and its
mode of action can be found in the
instructions for use for the Lumbamed
sacro.
Mode of action / How to wear the
brace
The 3-in-1 design of the Lumbamed
sacro combines the advantages of a
brace, bandage and pelvic band. The
modular design of the Lumbamed sacro
enables you to adjust the device to your
levels of pain and activity. For comforta-
ble support, for example during the
night or when doing sport, we recom-
mend that you use the knitted bandage.
Here, the Fastening Extension is needed
so that you can attach the bandage to
your body securely, according to your
needs.

Putting on / taking off
Please note that initial fitting should be
supervised by a qualified healthcare
professional.
• Firstly, undo the velcro fastenings on
the interior fastening side of the
Lumbamed sacro and remove the
pelvic band (Fig. 1). You are now
holding the bandage (Fig. 2). The label
on the right inner side of the bandage
provides instructions on how to put
the bandage on later.
• The Fastening Extension comes with
two fastening parts. First, take the
fastening part with the medi logo on it
and open the velcro fastening (Fig. 3).
• Now put the right end of the bandage
in the open end of the fastening and
close it (Fig. 4).
• Take the second fastening and attach
this to the left end of the bandage
using the same process (Fig. 5). Ensure
that the hand strap remains on the
inner side. The bandage can now be
put on (Fig. 6 + 7).
• To complete the brace again and
connect it with the pelvic band,
remove both parts of the Extension
Fastening by undoing the velcro. Then
attach the knitted bandage to the
non-elasticated pelvic band using the
velcro in the middle of these compo-
nents. Ensure that the coloured fasten-
ing edge and the medi logo on the back
are both on the bottom of the device.
Finally, reattach both ends of the
bandage to the inside of the pelvic
band using the velcro fastenings
(Fig. 1).
