6.1. GLOSSaRY

► Calendar: a calendar corresponds to a relay output. There are as many calendars as
relay outputs. To control a relay, events will be created in the corresponding calendar.
► Event: an event is the triggering of a relay. It is characterised by a start date (Year,
Month, Day, Time, Minute) and an end date. It can also include a length optionally. If
an event is in progress, the relay is activated. If no event is in progress, the relay is
deactivated.
Once activated, the relay state depends on the setting in the web interface, or in the
LCD screen. It can be closed (contact made) or open (contact not made).
► Recurrence: The recurrence of an event reflects the manner in which it is going repeat
itself over time (example: every day, every Thursday and Friday, every 1
the month, etc.). By default, an event has no recurrence rule: it occurs only once.
Scheduling events in order to trigger the relays requires that the
internal clock of the rt9s be set correctly. You must pay attention
to the setting of the time zone and DSt policy. an incorrect setting
will lead to time offsets in relay activation.
The reference time zone for switching relays is the time zone of the computer used for
programming them. Thus, an event is saved with its switching time as well as the time zone
and associated DST policy (in this case, those of the computer used).
