3.7. PULSE OUtPUt (If aVaILaBLE)
If the RT9s has a pulse output, you can use this screen to carry out simple clock synchro-
nization tasks.
By entering a time, which is the time displayed on the clocks to be synchronized, the RT9s
will automatically send the correct number of pulses to synchronize the clock network once
again.
►
"1 MInUtE": In this operating mode,
one pulse will be sent every minute (60
seconds).
"1/2 MInUtE": In this operating mode,
►
one pulse will be sent every half-minute
(30 seconds).
☛
the rt9s cannot suspend pulses for more than two hours.
►
Example 1: If it is 12:00 hrs and the clocks stopped at 11:30 hrs, enter "11:30" in
the corresponding fields, and confirm by clicking "OK". The RT9s will then send
pulses to the chain such that the clocks make up for their delay of 30 minutes in a
few seconds.
Example 2: If the clocks stopped at 12:05 hrs, when the time is 12:00 hrs, the RT9s
►
will automatically suspend the pulses until the time becomes 12:05 hrs.
