3.1. GEnERaL DESCRIPtIOn

The LCD screen on the RT9s front panel and the 6 buttons form an interface allowing you
to configure some of the RT9s's settings.

When you connect the device to the power supply, a title screen shows that the device is
initializing.

The rT9s can remain on this screen up to one minute, depending on the

options, the configuration and the network state.

Once the RT9s has started, the "Date/time" screen appears:

This screen summarises the state of the RT9s. It shows whether the RT9s is synchronised,
whether one of its boards is in alarm (see section 3.9 ALARM ON THE LCD SCREEN) and
whether the LCD screen buttons are locked.
► To access the main menu of the front interface, click "Ok" when the RT9s shows the
time. To exit this menu, click "Escape".
► As a general rule, pressing "Ok" confirms and saves the choices whereas pressing
"Escape" cancels the choices and returns to the previous screen.
