7.1.5 Installation in an existing ladder system
This is the same as in point 6.1.4, but here, part of the ladder must be removed first.
Before removing the existing rail piece, a fall protection stop (TAC-0060) must be attached
under the part to be removed to prevent the runner from inadvertently working free from the fall
arrester rail during installation.
When installing in an existing ladder system, the area in question is omitted. This needs to be
cut out.
The cut edges must be deburred and protected against rust using zinc spray in accordance with
DIN EN ISO 1461.
During installation, separate safety measures in accordance with EN 345/355 are required.
All the installation conditions as described in step 2 remain applicable.
7.1.6 Installation dimensions to be met (Figure 13)
7.1.7 Alignment
•
An offset of the rails and the diverter of more than 0.2 mm should be avoided, so that the runner
can freely go over the connection joints.
•
The distance between the steps must not be altered by the installation of the exit device (target
dimension is 280 +/- 5mm)
Safety Information
If the pivot range is increased (e.g. by bending the insert lock), the runner can move out of the fall
protection profile when the diverter is pivoted! DANGER TO LIFE!

Identification
The lower rung of each exit device is permanently stamped with the production data
