GENERAL INFORMATION

Pages 5 to 14 describe the installation of the SKYTAC climbing protection rail system with welded rungs.
Installation and maintenance of the "existing aluminium ladder with fitted climbing protection rail" system
is described on pages 29 to 32.
We offer various security options to protect the ladder systems against unauthorised access. Please
contact us for more information related to this.
The system is designed so that a person can ascend each segment that has at least two holds, which
provides a theoretical maximum number of users permitted for the length. Based on our experience and
established practices, we recommend maintaining a minimum distance of 5 m between any two people
ascending at the same time.

SAFETY INFORMATION

Each installer and user must be familiar with these instructions before installation begins. The installation
instructions must be followed unconditionally as neglecting them puts lives at risk! Should any difficulties
arise during installation of the climbing protection system, installation must be stopped immediately.
It must be ensured at all times that the supplied installation and maintenance instructions are stored in a
dry place near the climbing protection system equipment and that they are accessible to all users at all
times.
Prior to and during use, a visual inspection should be performed to ensure the proper functioning of the
system. When additional personal climbing protection equipment is used, the operating instructions for
that equipment should be observed.
