Press the control knob and turn it to the required
temperature. The illuminated ring will light up white.
The illuminated ring will dim from white to orange while
the appliance is heating up. An audible signal will sound
when the set temperature is reached.
Use the spatula or a heat-resistant brush (e.g. silicone
brush) to spread a little oil or fat evenly over the frying
surface. Place the food directly on the frying surface
without a pot or pan. Use the spatula supplied to turn
the food.

Switching off

Turn the control knob to 0.

Warning – Risk of scalding!
The appliance will remain hot for a long time even after
you switch it off. Do not touch the appliance while the
residual heat indicator is lit.

Warning – Risk of burns!
When the appliance cover is closed, heat will
accumulate. Only close the appliance cover when the
appliance has cooled down. Never switch the appliance
on with the appliance cover closed. Do not rest food on
the appliance cover or use it to keep food warm.

Residual heat indicator

After switching off the appliance, the illuminated ring on
the control knob slowly flashes orange until the
appliance has cooled enough for it to be safe to touch.
Do not touch the appliance while the residual heat
indicator is flashing.

Keeping warm setting

Turn the control knob to the £ position.
The keeping warm setting enables you to keep food
warm once you have cooked it.

Cleaning setting

Turn the control knob to the , position.
The cleaning setting lets you soak cooked-on dirt,
making it easier to remove.

Safety switch-off function

For your safety, the appliance has a safety switch-off
function. Any kind of heating will be switched off after
4 hours if the appliance controls are not used during
this time. The heating element will remain off after a
power failure. The ON/OFF indicator will flash.
Turn the control knob to 0. You will now be able to start
the appliance again as usual.
