Setting the control functions
The slope of ∆p-v characteristic curve can be adjusted to the respective application by
setting the percentage of H
Options "Nominal duty point Q" and "Slope of ∆p-v characteristic curve" are available
in the context menu [•••] of the setpoint editor "∆p-v differential pressure setpoint".
▪ Nominal duty point Q:
The optionally configurable nominal duty point significantly simplifies adjustment by
adding the required volume flow at the design point.
The additional input of the required volume flow in the design point ensures that the
∆p-v characteristic curve runs through the design point.
The pitch of the ∆p-v characteristic curve is then optimised.
▪ Gradient of the ∆p-v characteristic curve:
A reduction factor can be set at the pump to improve adjustment of the ∆p-v charac-
teristic curve.
The reduction factor reduces the ∆p-v delivery head for 0-volume flow. A reduction
factor of 50 % (H/2) is normal.
Some applications involving the classic ∆p-v characteristic curve may be affected by
excessive/insufficient supply if the total volume flow demand has been reduced. The
excessive or inadequate supply can be compensated by adjusting this factor:
• In case of inadequate supply in partial load range, the value must be increased.
• In case of excessive supply in partial load range, the value must be reduced. More en-
ergy can be saved and flow noises are reduced.
Dynamic Adapt plus (factory setting)
The control mode Dynamic Adapt plus autonomously adjusts the pump output to the
requirements of the system. A setpoint adjustment is not required.
The pump continuously adjusts its delivery rate to the requirements of the consumer
and status of the open and closed valves and thus significantly reduces the set pump
energy.
Temperature constant (T-const)
The pump constantly adjusts to a set temperature T
The actual temperature to be regulated is captured by
▪ the internal temperature sensor or
▪ an external temperature sensor which is connected
to the pump.
Differential temperature constant (∆T-const)
The pump controls to a set differential temperature ∆T
and return temperature).
Actual temperature through:
▪ the internal temperature sensor and an external temperature sensor.
▪ two external temperature sensors.
Volume flow constant (Q-const)
The pump controls a set volume flow Q
Multi-Flow Adaptation
A primary pump collects the volume flow requirements of the connected secondary
pumps (e.g. to a distributor) with "Multi-Flow Adaptation" through a Wilo Net connec-
tion.
The primary pump supplies the total volume flow of the secondary pumps into the dis-
tributor.
Set an amplification factor (80 – 120 %) and a fixed volume flow rate to adapt supply
to local circumstances. The fixed volume flow percentage is always calculated for the
calculated volume flow.
User-defined PID control
The pump controls based on a user-defined control function. PID control parameters
can be manually specified.
For further information about setting the control modes and the associated parameters,
see the "Pre-defined applications in the settings assistant" section.
