Assembling Auxiliary Fence

WARNING: Avoid injury from unexpected starting.
Unplug the saw before attaching any accessory to the
miter saw.
Find the following parts:

A dimensional 4x4 may be cut in one step by attaching
the auxiliary fence. Mount the auxiliary fence, using the 4
screws and 4 hex nuts as shown with phillips end of the
hex "L" wrench supplied with the miter saw. The auxiliary
fence is adjustable horizontally to provide maximum sup-
port along the back side of the workpiece.
To adjust fence:
1. Unplug saw
2. Lock arm/guard in down position
3. Rotate table to intended miter angle
4. Slide each fence to 1/8 in. from blade
Tighten the 4 pan head screws with the phillips end of the
wrench. While the saw is still unplugged, raise and lower
arm to test for blade clearance between fences.

Assembling Dust Elbow and Dust Bag

1. Locate the dust elbow.
2. Unplug power cord.
3. With the miter arm locked in the down position, start
the dust elbow onto the dust nozzle at an angle to
retaining lip.
4. Firmly press the dust elbow the rest of the way onto
the second retaining lip.
NOTE: At first time installation, or if assembled in a cool
or cold climate, the rubber is not as flexible and will be
more difficult to assemble.
