not be reused and must be destroyed according to current
regulations.
1. Putting the new product into circulation (out of the
packaging):
Remove the devices from their packaging.
It is recommended to clean the new device before the first
sterilisation according to point .
2. Initial processing at point of use (after surgical
use):
Cleaning must be carried out immediately after each use of
the medical device to prevent corrosion and dirt adhesion.
Use a cloth to remove any excess dirt.
3. Containment and transport
The mode of transport must be secured, no additional
requirements.
4. Preparation before automatic cleaning
It is recommended to clean new instruments before their
initial sterilization and immediately after each use in order
to avoid dirt adhesion.
- Unfold CHIROBLOC [CBP/CBM/CHIRO3]
- Separate the CHIROBLOC Ballast from CHIROBLOC
- Separate the strap from the CHIRO3
- Separate RING
CHIROBLOC [CBP/CBM/CHIRO3], CHIROBLOC
Ballast and RING will be cleaned like surgical instruments.
5. Automated cleaning
The used detergent is an enzyme-based or alkaline based.
Use a cleaning program similar to this one described
below:
. Pre-cleaning
Tap water / Cold water / 2 min.
. Drying
. Cleaning
Tap water + Medizyme enzymatic ou Mediclean forte, alkaline
(Neodisher*) 0.5% / 55°C / 5 min.
. Drying
. Intermediate rinsing
Demineralized water / Cold water / 3 min.
. Drying
. Final rinse
Demineralized water / Cold water / 2 min.
. Drying
* Follow the detergent manufacturer's instruction.
Note: A high temperature disinfection step can take place after the
final rinse to prevent the fixation of any remaining proteins.
It is recommended to use a washer/disinfector conforms
to ISO 15883.
2 automatic cleaning cycles can be performed prior to
sterilization if necessary.
After cleaning, always check that the devices are dry, clean,
in good working order and absence of deterioration.
6. Automated drying
Dry CHIROBLOC, RING et CHIROBLOC Ballast
according to the drying cycle of the washer. If necessary,
additional manual drying can be performed using lint free
towel.
