TROUBLESHOOTING AND RECTIFICATION

Functional fault Cause
Insufficient product Nozzle too small
output Product pressure too low
Filter on product pressure generator
blocked
Nozzle is clogged
Product valve travel set too low
Poor spray pattern Incorrectly adjusted atomizing air Readjust the atomizing air.
Unfavorable nozzle size
Product pressure too high/too low Adapt product pressure.
Spray product viscosity too high
Damaged nozzle
Needle or needle Needle packing (seal) on the
packing leaky needle damaged
Air valve leaks Air valve damaged
Spray gun will not Nozzle nut not tightened enough

Remedy
Select larger nozzle.
Increase product pressure.
Clean or replace filter.
Clean or replace nozzle.
Increase product valve travel by
turning the adjusting screw.
Select a different nozzle.
Thin product in accordance with
the spray product manufacturer's
instructions.
Attach new nozzle.
Replace needle packing (seal).
Replace air valve.
Tighten nozzle nut.
Replace nozzle or needle.
