Menus

The menu commands can be called up via the menu bar
or directly using key combinations (shortcuts).
4.1

"File" menu

4.1.1
Open <Ctrl> + <O>
Opens the "Open" dialog box. A saved configuration can
be loaded (file extension "dat").
If the type is identical, a prompt appears and the BTL can
be updated.
If the prompt is not confirmed or the type is not identical,
the BTL7 Configuration Tool switches to offline mode
(see "Settings" menu, section 4.3).
4.1.2
Save <Ctrl> + <S>
Opens up the "Save" dialog box, a configuration can be
saved as a file (file extension "dat"). The configuration
currently located in the BTL7 Configuration Tool is saved,
regardless of whether it was sent to the BTL or not.
4.1.3
Report <Strg> + <E>
Calls up a text file (temp.txt) that documents the
information on the BTL and its current settings. It can be
stored under a new name.
4.1.4
Quit <Control> + <X>
Quits the BTL7 Configuration Tool. If the BTL is not yet
updated, a prompt appears. Quitting can be cancelled.
4.2

"BTL" menu

4.2.1
Read <Ctrl> + <R>
The configuration of the connected BTL is read. Reading
must be acknowledged. The current configuration in the
BTL7 Configuration Tool will be overwritten.
4.2.2
Factory settings <Ctrl> + <F>
Resets the configuration of the connected BTL to the
factory settings. Resetting must be confirmed.

4.2.3
Button lock (if calibration device is usable)
The function to manually adjust the BTL with the calibration
device can be locked, making configuration only possible
with the PC software. The button status is shown in the
main window.
The menu item "Button lock" and the button
status are only displayed if a BTL is connected
which can be set using the calibration device.
The menu item is also only activated if the BTL
is configured as a standard unit:
One magnet
Both outputs are assigned the "Position"
function
Identical measuring range for both outputs.
