For your safety

Please observe the notes on safety and
familiarize yourself with the contents of the
operating instructions before installing the
devices and connecting them to a compressed
air supply or the power supply.
Only use the devices in the specified areas and
systems and comply with the tolerances listed in
the technical data. If the limit values listed in the
technical data are not observed or are exceeded,
the devices may overheat or be completely
destroyed, the functions and/or electrical safety
may be impaired.
The devices are normally only intended for use in
industrial applications. If the devices are used in
domestic applications (domestic, business, and
commercial applications), then a permit must be
obtained from the authorities or test office.
These permits are issued in Germany by the
Regulation Authorities for Telecommunications
and Post (RegTP).
To comply with the technical data, only use the
cables that are listed in the operating
instructions or in the project drawings.
Ground the devices according to the instructions.
Please observe the relevant DIN/VDE standards
or country-specific regulations when installing
the system/device. Especially observe:
– VDE 0160 (DIN EN 50178)
– VDE 0100.
The power supply must be isolated according to
DIN EN 60742, classification VDE 0551. Please
observe any specifications on external fuse
protection.
Appropriate transport, and correct storage,
setup and installation are required for the
devices to work safely and without failure.
The devices may only be opened by trained
personnel. ESD-compliant components.
Installation and initial start-up may only be
performed in a voltage- and pressure-free state
and by a qualified technician. Please comply with
the installation position in the operating
instructions.
In order to avoid accidents, electrical start-up is
to be carried out only in a pressure-free state.
Only start the devices after they are completely
assembled as well as correctly wired, and
tested.
Plug connectors may not be plugged in or pulled
under load. Switch off the power supply before
connecting or disconnecting plugs to avoid
damaging the electrical parts.
In order to attain the correct protective class and
be able to use all the functions in the system,
please take care that all seals are whole and
correctly placed. The protective class can only be
attained if all of the plug connections that are not
being used are closed (caps/dummy plugs).
Switches and configurations may not be
changed during operation. Changed settings are
only accepted once the device has been switched
off and on again.
No compensating current that is caused by
potential difference may flow through the shield,
otherwise the mass points of the system must be
connected with a separate cable.
Additional safety notes in the operating
instructions must be observed.

1.1 General

The IOM R402000482 describes the pneumatic
parts of LP04. This manual (R402000483) refers to
the DDL system description only.
Both descriptions must be read thoroughly
before installing and initial startup of the device.

Device description

The entire DDL pilot control is integrated into the
LP04 valve terminal system (VS), which allows for
an extremely compact design. The LP04 valve
terminal system is available with 4, 8, 12, and 16
valve positions. A maximum of 32 solenoid coils can
be controlled.
