ELECTRICAL REGULATIONS FOR SWIMMING POOLS

Please refer to the current regulations for your country.
French Standard C15.100 Section 702 – U.T.E.
Spanish "Directiva electrotécnica para baja tensión", ITC-BT-31, RD 842/2002, 2 August.
See IMAGES 2 (pg. 88) "Volume sizes for above ground pools", and IMAGES 3 (pg. 89) "Volume
sizes for in-ground pools and foot baths".
In volumes 0 and 1, only protection using Very Low Voltage with a nominal voltage not
exceeding 12 V AC or 30V DC is allowed. The protection must be installed outside volumes 0, 1
and 2. (The appliance has a protection index of at least IP X5).
In volume 2 the appliances must be:
Either class II for lighting.
Or class I protected by a 30 mA or less ground fault circuit breaker.
Or powered by a separation transformer.
The appliance has a protection index of at least IP X2.
Any incorrect manipulation may cause serious damages to the unit and to the user that could involve
deadly injuries.

INSTALLATION CONDITIONS

According to the place where the unit must be
installed (humid place, etc.), install electrical
protection by a 30-mA differential circuit breaker.
Otherwise, an electrical discharge may take place.
Do not leave a damaged installation.
The unit could cause an accident.
Verify power supply compatibility with the data specified in the unit before installing the unit.
Install the applianve on a leveled base, to prevent condensation overflows.
Esay the access to the appliance for maintenance
Install the appliance outside volume 1.
It is recommended to renew air in private pools. In public pools is mandatory.
It is necessary to determine the unit location according to certain criteria:
The unit must be secured on a hard base (concrete or hard steel frame type) and must
be protected from flood risks.
A clear space around the unit of around 1.0 m at the front, adequate room for
serviceability, and a minimum of 1.0 m at the sides and top of the unit must be left.
The air flow caused by the unit must be directed away from the limits of the working
environment (windows, doors...). Also, don't place anything in front of blowing or
suction grates.
The minimum distance between the dehumidifier and the rim of the swimming pool
must be at least 2,0 m.
The electrical and hydraulic connections must be made according to the applicable
regulations (NF C 15 100, EC 1 364).
During normal operation of the unit, water condensation will be produced which will
have to be evacuated. All units have an adapter at the side of the base which should
always be free of any obstruction.
It is important to remember that no part of the tubing or hose may be above the level
of the drain hole in the base of the deshumidifier unit.
This condensation water does not have to be treated in any special manner.
See IMAGES 4 (pg. 90).
