5.3 Initial startup

This section refers to fig. 8 and fig. 9.
The change-over device 185 is always part of a gas dosing
system. The other components of the system determine the
course of commissioning.
Before startup:
1. Open the ball valves (2).
2. For 185-2:
– Ball valves (3) of the bypass lines must be closed.
– Ball valve (4) must be opened.
3. Set operation mode switch (S3) to "man".
4. Set the change-over device to the container battery which
should be used first:
– Open battery 1: Press key (S18) until lamp (H15) lights up.
– Close battery 1: Press key (S22) until lamp (H28) lights up.
– Open battery 2: Press key (S32) until lamp (H29) lights up.
– Close battery 2: Press key (S37) until lamp (H42) lights up.
5. Set operation mode switch (S3) to "auto".

6.2 Operating modes

This section refers to fig. 8.
There are two operation modes which can be selected using
operation mode switch (S3).
6.2.1 Automatic operation mode
Turn switch (S3) to "auto". Operation starts automatically.
6.2.2 Manual operation mode
Turn switch (S3) to "man". Press the respective keys to set the
change-over device to the desired container battery. See section
6.1.1 Control panel.
The manual operation mode disables the automatic
change-over function. The manual operation mode
Caution
must only be used for commissioning, maintenance
and repairs.
