5. Hold the carrying handle securely and pull the starter grip lightly until you
feel resistance, and then pull briskly in the direction of the arrow as shown
below.
Return the starter grip gently.
CAUTION:
Do not allow the starter grip to snap back against the engine. Return it
gently to prevent damage to the starter.
NOTE:
Always pull the starter grip briskly. If not pulled briskly, sparks may fail to jump
across the spark plug electrodes, resulting in failure to start the engine.
6. If the choke lever was moved to the CLOSED position to start the engine,
gradually move it to the OPEN position as the engine warms up.
