3 Product Description
• The measured position is not evaluated. This requires a safe evaluation unit or control that
will be able to fulfill various position-dependent safety functions.
• In the event of an error, the measuring system sends no longer position data, but only error
codes. Therefore, the sending of a position within a certain time is not guaranteed. The ab-
sence of position data must be detected and evaluated by an external evaluation unit.
• The measuring system in no way actively intervenes in the elevator system. It is purely a pos-
ition sensor.
• The scope of the measuring system is not to measure lengths. Lengths vary in particular be-
cause of the temperature and other influencing factors.
