5.1 Measures Before Commissioning

The following measures must have been performed prior to commissioning:

Installation instructions
The installer is responsible for proper installation. The maximum dis-
tance to an evaluation unit (e.g. PSU02 or control) shall not exceed
100 m. An extension of the 3 m cable of the Ants LES02 must be
made as a bus line, shielded twisted pair
with 0.5 mm² conductor cross-section, and it can be routed in the
traveling cable. The shielding must be taken over suitably on the
shield of the extension (e.g. by cutting the cable sheath off at the end
of the cable).
The 3 m long sensor cable is connected inside of the sensor with a
connector and leaves the housing through a traction relief. There, the
shield is put into contact with the housing, which is connected intern-
ally capacitively and with high impedance to the GND potential
through a contact spring.
At the end of the cable, cut the cable sheath off and use a shield ter-
minal to apply the shielding on a suitable potential.
It must be ensured that control cables are routed far away from en-
ergy-carrying cables (such as motor cables).
In general, when installing buses, it must always be made sure that
the installer is not electrostatically charged, to prevent damages at
the device during installation. Results
Description
The operating conditions are defined in the operation manual and
in the manual and must be complied with.
The V2A coded band must be mounted fix in the top and the bot-
tom of the elevator shaft; it must be sufficiently secured against
slipping.
The tension force must be 100 ... 150 N [22.48 ... 33.72 lbs].
The lateral distance from the coded band to moving parts must be
at any point at least 50 mm [0.16 ft].
Sensor oscillation in the transversal direction shell not exceed
10 mm [0.03 ft].
The coded band must be checked for dirt and foreign bodies and
cleaned during commissioning.
In every new installation, the sensor must run once along the
whole installed coded band in order to check the complete sys-
tem for errors or wrong installation.
