Since the Bus Terminal Controller BX3100 also
provides to the galvanic isolation of the bus
connection, in appropriate cases may be possible
not to carry out the connection of the screen.
3.7 Bus Terminal Controller configuration.
Before you start using the Bus Terminal
Controller, you must set the Profibus network
"node number".
This setting is made with the 2
rotary switches on the Bus Terminal
Controller, shown in figure.

Switch x1 is for the least
significant bit;
−
Switch x10 is for the most
significant bit.
NOTE: The example a side shows
the "node number" set to 5.
3.8 Diagnostic.
The Bus Terminal Controller has two led groups
and a display for the diagnostic:
−
"Power Leds" for the BX3100 and "Power
contacts" supply voltage control.
−
"Diag Leds" for the condition of the field bus
(Profibus), PLC (BX3100) and K-bus.
−
"Display" for visualization of the operating
state and "Error Codes".
3.8.1 Supply leds (Power Leds).

3.8.2 Diagnostic leds (Diag Leds).
The diagnostic leds are sub
divided as follows:
Bus: field bus (Profibus)
diagnosis.
PLC: PLC (BX3100)
diagnosis.
I/O: K-bus diagnosis.
The leds can be off, green, orange or red.
After switching on, the Bus Terminal Controller
immediately checks the connected configuration.

the I/O led goes out if the start-up was
successful.
− a red I/O led indicates a Bus Terminal
Controller error. The error type is shown in the
display.
3.8.3 Leds for field bus diagnosis.
