2.3.3. THERMAL POWER CONTROL

During the first installation and each time a maintenance service or adaptation to another
type of gas is carried out, it is necessary to measure the nominal thermal capacity. This
measurement can be checked using the volumetric method with the help of a liter-coun-
ter and a stopwatch. After having checked the connection pressure and the diameter of
the burner injectors, measure the hourly capacity of the gas and check this data with the
one in the technical data table in the "gas consumption" section. A tolerance of ± 5% of
the nominal value is allowed.
The device must be supplied with one of the gases whose characteristics and pressure
are indicated in the following table:

Connect the device to a special gas tube with an internal section that is not less than
16mm in diameter for G1 / 2 "connections and for G3 / 4" connections with a diameter
not less than 20mm.
The fitting must be made of metal and the tube can be fixed or flexible. Take care so that
the flexible metal tube connecting with the gas fitting does not touch overheated parts or
that it is screwed on. Use clamps in accordance with the installation regulations.
Prepare keys or valves whose internal diameter is not less than the aforementioned
connection tube. After making the connection to the gas network, it is necessary to check
that there are no gas leaks at the gaskets or fittings. Use soapy water or a special spar-
kling product to detect gas leaks.
