Electrical connections

(See fig. 54/55).
IMPORTANT:
Make earth connection prior to any other electrical
connections.
• Ensure that the mains supply connection is made through a
switch that disconnects all poles, with contact gap of a least 3 mm.
• The mains supply connecting cable as well as interconnecting
wires must be H07 RN-F type (or higher), synthetic rubber
insulation with Neoprene coating, according to EN 60335-2-40
codes.
• Remove electric box cover.
• Connect the wires to the terminals according to the wiring
diagram.
• After connections have been completed, replace electric box
cover.
• The standard configuration has a Low, Medium, High ventilation
speeds. Use a suitable cable terminal to select the Super High
speed (SH in the diagram) instead of High speed.

Maintenance

Warning!
• The appliance must be maintained and cleaned internally only by
qualified personnel.
• Always disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before
starting any maintenance work and before accessing any internal
components.
Air filter: Check that the filter is clean at least once a month or
more frequently if the unit is installed in a dusty environment. Dirt in
the filter reduces the air flow and the efficiency of the unit. It is
advisable to clean or change the filter before the start of the winter
season.
To remove the filter, pull gently in the direction of the arrow.
Filter removal with air intake from the rear (See fig. 56).
Filter removal with air intake from below (See fig. 57).
Condensate drainage: During the summer, check that the conden-
sate drain pipe is free from obstructions which could cause conden-
sate to overflow.
Heat exchanger: At the beginning of the summer and winter
seasons, check that the fins on the heat exchanger are not
obstructed by foreign matter such as dust or fluff, etc..
Remove the air outlet grille and clean the heat exchanger, taking
care not to damage the fins.
Motor: The motor is life-time lubricated. No lubrication is therefore
necessary.
Emptying the plant: If the plant needs to be emptied, remember
that a water head always remains in the coil which, if temperature
is lower than 0°C, may freeze and cause failure in the exchanger.
To empty the exchanger completely you need to open the valves
and blow in air for 90 seconds at 6 bar minimum pressure.
Antifreezing: If, in the areas where the unit is installed, the
temperature is lower that 0°C, a glycol-based solution must be
used to protect the plant from damage caused by freezing.

Disposal

At the end of their useful life, the appliance and all its components
must be disposed of at a suitably authorised differentiated disposal
centre.

Troubleshooting

Troubleshooting
Air conditioner will not start:
• Main supply switch is OFF; switch to ON.
• Fuses on main switch are burnt out; replace fuses.
• Selected temperature is higher than the room temperature (or
lower in the heating mode).
Air conditioner is not supplying sufficient capacity:
• Free air circulation is obstructed on the unit.
• Dirty filters reduce air quantity circulating.
The filter must be cleaned only by qualified personnel.
• Doors and/or windows are open.
• Fan speed has been set to 'low'.
• The indoor unit air flow grill is not directed for optimal ventilation.
• Selected temperature is not correct.
• The water flow rate is insufficient
• Air present in the hydraulic circuit
A slight whistling noise is heard when the air conditioner
starts or stops:
• This is water circulating. This is a normal operating condition.
Unpleasant smells coming from the unit:
• Unpleasant odours may originate from substances accumulated
on the unit air filter.
Stop unit and clean filters after switching mains supply off.
Restart unit in the ventilation (fan only) mode and open windows
to change room air.
A slight mist is emitted from the unit:
• A slight mist, coming out of the unit air outlet, is sometimes
noticed during cooling operation.
This is due to the cool air coming into contact with the room air.
Restart air conditioner after having corrected the faults.
If the above actions do not correct the unit operation, contact
the authorized Zone Assistance Centre.
