Set-Up
1. Use viscosity stick to test viscosity of
paint in original container (see
Figure 2).

2. If thinning is required (based on the
viscosity test), add thinner in incre-
ments. Check viscosity periodically.
3. If using a water-based paint (like
latex), thin with water. If using an
oil-based paint (which requires paint
thinner, mineral spirits or other sol-
vent for cleanup), thin using the
cleaning fluid recommended by
paint manufacturer.
4. Once the paint viscosity is satisfacto-
ry, fill the paint spray canister all the
way (see Figure 3).

THINNING INSTRUCTIONS
1. Stir paint or stain using viscosity
stick.
2. With thumb and forefinger touch-
ing through hole at top of stick, lift
the stick straight up.
3. If the tear-shaped area at the bot-
tom of stick clears within 10 sec-
onds, paint or stain is ready to be
sprayed.
NOTE ON SPRAY TIPS: If you pur-
chased the Easy Spray
only tip included is the red stain tip
appropriate for stains and
polyurethanes. If you purchased any
of the Easy Spray
both the red stain tip and the yellow
paint tip are included. Make sure to
use the tip that is appropriate for the
coating you wish to spray.
Use
1. Test sprayer on practice surface to
ensure that paint is coming out in a
suitable pattern for your needs. Thin
and/or adjust pressure as needed
(see Figure 4).

2. The best distance from sprayer to
