Do not touch the sharp edges of the core drill
bit. Danger of injury.
To avoid injuries, check the core drill bits
prior to starting the work. Use only undam-
aged core drill bits that are not deformed.
Damaged or deformed core drill bits can
cause serious injury.
Before putting into operation: Mount the chip
guard to the machine.
Always secure the power tool with with the
provided safety strap. When carrying out
such work, beware of falling objects, such as
core bits or chips.
Carry out work on vertical construction ele-
ments or overhead without use of the hand
pump. Use cooling-lubricant spray for these
applications. Fluids entering into the power
tool create the risk of electric shock.
Avoid touching the drilled core that is auto-
matically ejected by the pilot pin when the
working procedure is finished. Contact with
the core when it is hot, or if it falls, can cause
personal injuries.
To prevent injuries, always keep your hands,
clothing, etc. away from rotating swarf. The
swarf can cause injuries. Always use the chip-
ping protector.
Do not attempt to remove the cutting tool if it
still turns. This can lead to serious injuries.
Beware of any concealed electric cables, gas
or water conduits. Check the working area
before commencing work, e. g. with a metal
detector.
Do not work materials containing magnesium.
Danger of fire.
Do not work CFP (carbon-fiber-reinforced
polymer) and materials containing asbestos.
These materials are considered carcinogenic.
Do not rivet or screw any name-plates or
signs onto the power tool. If the insulation is
damaged, protection against an electric shock
will be ineffective. Adhesive labels are recom-
mended.
Do not overload the power tool or the storage
case and do not use it as a ladder or stand.
Overloading or standing on the power tool or
the storage case can lead to the upward shift-
ing of the center of gravity of the power tool
or the storage case, and its tipping over.
Do not use accessories which are not specifi-
cally designed and recommended by the
power tool manufacturer. Safe operation is
not ensured merely because an accessory fits
your power tool.
Clean the ventilation openings on the power
tool at regular intervals using non-metal
tools. The blower of the motor draws dust
into the housing. An excessive accumulation
of metallic dust can cause an electrical hazard.
Use and handling of the battery (bat-
tery pack)
To avoid hazardous situations such as burns,
fire, explosion, skin injuries, and other inju-
ries when handling the battery, observe the
following instructions:
Batteries must not be disassembled, opened
or reduced in size. Do not subject batteries to
mechanical impact or shock. Hazardous
vapours and fluid can escape in case of dam-
age and improper use of the battery. The
vapours can irritate the respiratory system.
Liquid ejected from the battery may cause
skin irritations or burns.
When battery fluid from a damaged battery
has come into contact with objects close by,
check the respective components, clean them
or replace them as required.
Keep the battery away from heat and fire. Do
not store the battery in direct sunlight.
Do not remove the battery from its original
packaging until it is going to be used.
Before any work on the machine itself,
remove the battery from the power tool. If the
power tool accidentally starts, there is danger
of injury.
Remove the battery only when the power tool
is switched off.
Keep the battery away from children.
Keep the battery clean and protect it against
moisture and water. Clean contaminated bat-
tery terminals and power tool connections
with a dry, clean cloth.
Remove the power tool's battery during trans-
port and storage.
