The gearshake: driving-wheel - coupling wheel - chronograph wheel
and adjust if necessary by means of the eccentrics (X) and (Z).
Bad position of the hands
1. Jump of the chronograph hand when starting from zero:
This defect may result f r o m :

Tensión of the friction spríng too weak.
K Bad position of the finger. (This finger is friction-tight fitted on the
chronograph runnerand can be moved.)
L
Gear depth too great.
(This gear can also produce a backward movement of the chrono-
graph hand when it stops.)
r The chronograph hand does not come back exactly to zero:
This defect may result f r o m :

Chronograph hand is loóse on the chronograph runner.
M Hammer rubbing on the chronograph wheel.
N Hammer-tooth working with the pillar-wheel touches the bottom of
the tooth.
O The pane of the hammer does not lean on chronograph heart. This
defect may be corrected by the adjusting screw fixed on the hammer.
N. B. The heart of the chronograph runner must be locked. The one
of the minute recording runner (Ü) must have a slight play.
Hour recorder

The hour hammer must be free and come back to its starting position after
having operated the return to zero.
If the hour recorder still keeps running whereas the chronograph has
stopped the defect may come f r o m :
the conveyor which is not lifted enough by the switch.
