To sharpen the tungsten electrode, use a sharpening device with a diamond disc. In doing so,
observe the following:
• The point is sharpened longitudinally through the centre axis.
• Automatic regulation of the tungsten electrode drive by gravity.
• Can be set for all electrode diameters.
• Offers continuous adjustment of the angle.

9.2 Cleaning the torch neck

1 Remove gas nozzle.
2 Check wear parts for visible damage and replace them, if required.
3 Clean the separating point and grease O-rings with silicone-free sealing grease.
4 Check the TCP after each use or after a collision in the WH alignment jig.

9.3 Cleaning the changeable body

1 Clean coupling parts and slightly grease them with silicone-free sealing grease.
2 Check clamp clip for visible damage and replace the complete changeable body, if
required.
NOTE
• Maintain the contact area between the torch neck and the changeable body flat and free
of soiling.
• When mounting the insulating jackets, make sure that no control leads are caught
between the two halves.

9.4 Maintenance intervals

NOTE
• The maintenance intervals given are standard values and refer to single-shift operation.
We recommend basic cleaning once a week. The type and frequency of cleaning shall be
determined and established by the system operator of the welding system.
