Description
These spot welders are easily adaptable to cover many
spot welding applications and different workpiece
configurations.
ZT and NKLT versions are operated by means of a foot
pedal while ZP and NKLP versions are pneumatically
operated.
The main technical features are:
Z series
• Sliding arms;
• possibility to mount straight and inclined electrode
holders;
• adjustable electrode throat depth;
• foot pedal extendible according to the arms throat depth
(ZT);
• water cooled arms;
• spring adjustable electrode force.
NKL series
• Lower arm height adjustable;
• lower arm laterally rotary;
• possibility to mount straight and inclined electrode
holders;
• adjustable distance between electrodes;
• foot pedal extendible according to the arms throat depth
(NKLT);
• water cooled arms;
• spring adjustable electrode force.

Limits of use (EN 50063)
These spot welders have been manufactured to provide
the current indicated by the data plate. To obtain the
maximum performance from the spot welder and to avoid
overheating of its components you must provide water
circulate in the spot welder and respect the prescription
reported in paragraph 10.3

Safety standards

This product complies with annex 1 of European Directive
89/392/CEE, 91/368/CEE, 93/44/CEE, 93/68/CEE; with
Low-Tension Directive 73/23 and with 89 / 336 / CEE + 92
/ 31 / CEE + 93 / 68 / CEE directives for electromagnetic
compatibility.
IMPORTANT: In case of modification, or if the machine
is included in an integrated equipment, our responsibility
expires and the user must remove the "CE"-mark.
5.1 Main safety standards
This equipment must be used only for
welding and not for any other unsuitable
uses (for example to exert pressure or
deformation on the workpiece). It must be
used only by a single operator trained and
experienced in the use of welding equipment.
Operators must respect CEI 26-9 HD 407 safety standards
in order to ensure their and third parties' safety.

5.2 Prevention against electric shock
• Disconnect the machine before making
any repairs.
• Disconnect the power source before
making any maintenance operation.
• Make sure that the equipment is properly
connected to a good earth.
• The equipment must be installed by qualified personnel.
All connections must meet the standards in force (CEI
26-10 HD 427) and the accident-prevention regulations.
• Do not weld with cables with inadequate section and
stop welding if the cables overheat in order to avoid
rapid wearing of the insulation.
• Operators must work on an insulating board.
• Do not weld in damp or wet conditions.
5.3 Prevention against crushing injury
• Safeguard your hands by keeping them
away from electrodes and moving parts
while working. A warning plate is applied
on the welding machine to draw operator's
attention on the danger.
5.4 Safety against welding fumes
• Install the spot welding machine in a well
ventilated area.
• Provide fume extraction equipment to
remove fumes produced while welding.
• Do not weld in places where you suspect
gas leakage or next to internal combustion engines.
• Locate the welding machine away from degreasers using
trichloroethylene vapours or other chloride hydrocarbons
as solvents.
5.5 Prevention against burns
• Always use protective aprons and glasses
for protection against spatter.
• Use leather gloves to avoid burns and
abrasions while handling metal pieces.
• Do not wear rings, bracelets or other metal
objects which, if they come into direct contact with
parts which are passing secondary current or with the
piece to be welded, can heat up considerably and cau-
se burns.
5.6 Prevention against fire and explosion
• Remove any combustible matter from the
working area.
• Do not weld next to flammable materials
or liquids, or in a gas saturated room.
• Do not wear clothes contaminated with
oil or grease because fire can be started
by sparks.
• Do not weld materials giving off flammable
or toxic vapours when heated, without
adequate cleaning.
• Keep an extinguisher into the working area.
