2 - SAFETY PRECAUTIONS

2.3 Maintenance

WARNING!
Before performing any maintenance operations or adjustments on the mechanical parts of the equipment, put on
heavy-duty work shoes, gloves and goggles.
• Routine maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by an operator with the necessary physical and intellectual
qualifications.
• Special maintenance and repairs can be carried out only by a service mechanic.
• Before any maintenance or adjustment operations, disconnect the air hose.
• Keep bystanders away when servicing or repairing the machine.
• Only service mechanics are authorized to inactivate the safety devices provided on the machine when maintenance is
to be performed. It is their responsibility to safeguard the operators and the machine. The safety devices should be
activated as soon as maintenance work has been completed.
• All maintenance procedures not dealt with in this manual are to be performed at CAMPAGNOLA S.r.l. Authorised Service
Points.
• When maintenance or repairs have been completed, the machine can be started again only if duly authorized by the
service mechanic. The service mechanic must make sure:
- work has been completed;
- the machine runs in a trouble-free manner;
- the safety devices are activated;
- no one is working on the machine.

3.1 Product identification

The tool identification details are indicated on the plate (1).

3.2 Product description

The beating rake is a pneumatic tool for harvesting olives and coffee.
Vibration of the pair of rakes (2) is transmitted to the tree branches, detaching its products.
The beating rake is mounted on an ergonomically designed extension pole (25), available in different lengths, that allows it to
be conveniently used from the ground.

3.4 Recommended use

The beating rake has been designed and manufactured to harvest olives and coffee as described above.
WARNING!
• Any other use has to be considered improper and potentially dangerous for the operators' safety. This would
make any warranty claims void.
• If is not used for the purposes it was designed for, the beating rake may cause serious injury to personnel and
bystanders and damage to equipment and things.
