Therapy Mode
• Ensure that the hose is connected to the PAP and that your mask is attached. To
prevent the PAP from shutting down you must cover the mask opening or put on
the mask while the device is in operation.
Note: If there are any leaks the system will shut down.
• Press the power button on the PAP to start therapy mode.
Section 2: Power and Fault Conditions
1. The LCD must be fully connected as described in the 'Setting up the LCD
Programming Base Station' section. If set up as described below, the LCD will
continue to display previously programmed settings, but the information may not
be correct and you will not be able to modify ramp settings.
• Power supply is connected to the LCD and the PAP power cable is not connected
to the PAP.
2. If the USB cable is not connected to a PAP device, the LCD will not display any
settings.
3. When in Therapy mode, the screen will go blank after 45 seconds of inactivity.
4. Press any of the three buttons to return the display to the therapy pressure screen
(Patient Mode) or the time average therapy pressure screen (Therapy Mode).
5. When the PAP is in a fault condition, the Therapy Mode is inaccessible. Manual
reset of the PAP is required to obtain real-time pressure readings. (Refer to
Transcend PAP user manuals for more information on fault conditions and manual
reset of the device.)
Caring for your Transcend LCD Programming Base Station
Clean the exterior of the base station as needed. Use a damp cloth or paper towel with
mild dishwashing soap to wipe clean. Never submerge in water. Do not get soap or
water in base station.
