ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

PHOTO 1. Glue and fit the supports 2 and 3 onto the platform 1. Make sure they are perpendicular to the platform. Use white
(carpenter's) glue.
PHOTO 2. Fit the bench fronts 4 to the bench supports. Glue the floorboards 5 to the platform, leaving approx. 1 mm gaps
between each strip. Use white glue. Paint the floor a light grey colour. Paint the parts as shown in the guide on page 7 of the
step by step photos.
PHOTO 3. Line the bench fronts with the sheet 6. Fit and glue, first the central board 7, into place and then, the strips 8, 9 and
10, alternating them. Finally glue into place the finishes 11. Use white glue. Sand down and varnish.
PHOTO 4. Stain the colour of sapelli wood and varnish the frames 12. Cut out and glue the window panes 13 into the frames.
Use quick drying glue. Carry out this operation with extreme care. Use minimal amounts of glue to avoid "tarnishing" the acetate.
PHOTO 5. Stain one side of the doors 14 and 15 the colour of sapelli wood. Paint the other side green, be guided by the top
angles of the doors. Glue the window panes 16 and 17 to the doors. Paint the door handles 18 a gold colour and glue them in
place on both sides of the doors using quick drying glue.
PHOTOS 6 to 8. Paint one side of the front panels 19 and 21, a cream colour. Leaving the centre front panel unpainted 20.
Glue the front panel 19 and 20 together, making sure they are perfectly aligned. Fit the doors, with the green part towards the
exterior. Glue the frames 12 in place on front panels 19 and 21.
Glue the front panel 21 to front panel 20, making a sandwich, holding the doors in place between them. Cut out and glue into
place the adornments 22. Do not cover over the holes in the font panel. Use white glue. Then using quick drying glue fit and
glue the window pane 23 protective bars into place.
PHOTO 9. Glue the front panels. Glue the sides 25 and the sides 26, and between them glue the strips 24 into place. Use white
glue. Use the pins A to assist with this work. Fill in with putty and sand down to smooth over the joints. Paint the side panels
cream colour, on both sides.
PHOTO 10. Using contact adhesive glue the window panes 27 into place in the platform's side panels. Paint the interior of the
beams 28 in light grey and glue them into place on the sides using white glue.
PHOTO 11. Fit and glue, using white glue, the sides of the rooftop 29. Glue the windows 30 from the inside, using transparent
contact adhesive. Glue the beams 31 using white glue. Paint them light grey.
PHOTOS 12 & 13. Mark out the distances on the part 32, and glue on the frames 33, 34 and 35 to make up the table doors.
Paint green. Glue this assembly to the boarding platforms 36. Use white glue. Paint light grey.
PHOTO 14. Fit and glue the control table supports 37 and reinforcements 38 into place. Use white glue. Make a 0.75 mm
diameter hole and insert an eyebolt B, bending it downwards.
PHOTO 15. Glue the exterior table front 39 and sides 40 together. Between them glue the rounded corner strips 41 to form the
curve. Use white glue. Fill in with putty and sand down to smooth out the curved surfaces.
PHOTOS 16 & 17. Fit and glue the table bases of the controls tables 42 and in the centre of these the lever bases 43. Paint the
top part black and the edges green. Paint the sides and the front cream. Make up the flooring with the strips 44, leaving an
approximately 1 mm gap between them. Do not cover over the holes for the bars. Paint light grey. Glue the boarding platforms
to the main platform. Use white glue and the pins A.
PHOTO 18. Using brass wire make up the hook 45 (see templates) and insert it into the ring 46 on the table. Fix the lever 47
and also glue into place the levers 48 and 49. Use quick drying glue. Paint all of these parts and the front part of the platforms
black.
PHOTO 19. Fit and glue the supports 50 and the handrails 51. Use white glue. Push the bars 52 through the holes and glue
them in place, making sure that the roof supports are parallel with the floor. Use quick drying glue.
Using white glue, fit and glue the beam 53 up against the fronts of the platform. Paint the underside of the beam supports grey.
PHOTO 20. Trim off any excess length from the bars 52 once dry. Using white glue fit and glue the other roof beams 53 at the
distances indicated. Fit and glue the horizontal bars 54 and the claxon 55. Use quick drying glue. Paint the bars and handrails
green. Paint the claxon black.
PHOTO 21. Start to line the roof using the strips 56 one on each side, then continue with the strips 57 and finish off with the
strips 58. Use quick drying glue.
PHOTOS 22 to 24. Paint the lamps 59 black and white. Using quick drying glue, glue the strips 60 at the distances indicated.
Glue the strip with the lamps facing the interior, right in the centre of the roof, allowing it to stick out 5 mm beyond the fronts. On
each side glue a narrow strip 61 and then a strip 60 until the rooftop has been covered. Use white glue. Fill in the joints with
putty and sand them down until you leave a smooth surface. Glue the lining 62 into place on the roof of the platform. Start from
the centre and work out towards the sides. Use quick drying glue.
PHOTO 25. Paint the inside of the roof and the finishes light grey. Paint the levers 63 black and glue them to the roof using
quick drying glue.
